What's on the North Carolina Building Contractor Exam

The North Carolina Building Contractor exam is administered by PSI on behalf of the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors (NCLBGC). The exam covers all building construction activity including commercial, industrial, institutional, and all residential building construction. It is a partial open-book exam covering site work, concrete, masonry, metals, carpentry, roofing, associated trades, business and law, safety, estimating, plan reading, and North Carolina-specific code requirements. Note: Candidates who pass the NASCLA Accredited Exam may use that score in lieu of this exam.
